Trades websites that work as hard as you do.
Built for Cornwall’s builders.
Your website is being checked before your phone rings. We design trades and contractor websites that show the standard of the work, answer the questions customers actually have, and make getting in touch effortless, bespoke WordPress design and development, built to improve your visibility in local search across Cornwall.
Builders · Electricians · Plumbers · Roofers · Landscapers · Decorators · Carpenters · Specialist contractors
A trade website has three jobs: rank, load, and take enquiries. Everything else is decoration.
Built around how customers choose.
“Martin and the Sanders team provided a flawless website. Outstanding from start to finish… Reasonable costs with excellent results.”
Jonathan Dowling, The Cornish Heating CompanyMost customers in Cornwall check your website before picking up the phone. If it looks dated, slow or unclear, you risk losing jobs, even when your work is top quality. So every trade website covers the essentials properly:
- A design built around how customers choose a tradesperson: who you are, what you do, proof you can be trusted, and how to reach you
- A project gallery that shows the workmanship, in the trades, photos close jobs
- Fast, mobile-first build; most trade searches happen on a phone, often on site
- WordPress backend your team can update, photos, services, reviews, no developer
- Local SEO foundations so you appear when someone nearby searches your trade
- Clear calls to action on every page, built to turn a look into an enquiry
- Training at handover, unlimited amends until it’s right, 30 days of free support
We understand how tradespeople and contractors work: your time is limited, your schedule is full, and the website has to be simple, clear and effective. So it focuses on what your customers really want to know, who you are, what you do, why they can trust you, and how to get in touch. A modern, easy-to-use site helps you build trust before you even meet, show the quality of the work through photos and projects, answer questions quickly, stand out from other local tradespeople, and win more enquiries through clear calls to action.
Need a gallery to showcase past projects, or quote-request sections for quick enquiries? Every layout is tailored to your business. And if your current site just needs bringing up to date, our website redesign service refreshes the design and improves usability without starting from scratch.
Made for your industry, not adapted to it.
Designed for your industry
We know what customers look for when choosing a tradesperson, and the site is built around those expectations.
Clear and trust-building
Strong imagery, clean layouts and straightforward messaging that help people feel confident choosing you.
Built to be easy
Add photos, reviews and completed projects yourself, without technical stress.
Search-engine friendly
SEO best practice as standard, so you appear in local searches for your trade.
Local support that sticks around
Care plans and help from the studio in Redruth, sole trader or growing contractor team.
Your trade, your patch, your deadline.
01Plan
We learn your trade, your service area, and what customers need to see before they’ll call.
02Create
A custom WordPress site that showcases the workmanship and makes enquiring effortless, typically four to six weeks.
03Elevate
Launch, training, and optional care plans that keep the site secure, updated and earning its keep.
On the tools, not the laptop.
Plenty of trades want the site built and handed over; plenty more want it looked after, hosting, updates, this month’s project photos, so they can stay on the tools. Both are fine, and if the budget’s tight this year, we’ll stage the work rather than thin it down. How we work →
Asked from the van, usually.
Anything else, call 01872 222299 and ask Martin and the team directly.
Do you only build websites for certain trades?
No, builders, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, decorators, roofers, carpenters and specialist contractors across Cornwall. The layout changes by trade; the job is always the same: show the work, build trust, win the enquiry.
How long does a trades website take to build?
It depends on the complexity of the site and how quickly content comes together, but typically four to six weeks from brief to launch, including testing and revisions to make sure it does what your business needs. If you’ve got a seasonal deadline, spring bookings, a show, a tender, tell us and we’ll plan around it.
Will my website work on mobile?
Yes, first and foremost, every site is fully responsive, adapting automatically to any screen from smartphone to desktop. Your customers are searching from their kitchen, their van, or the job they want fixing. Quick to load, easy to use with one thumb, and tested on real devices before launch.
Can you update my existing website instead of starting again?
Often, yes. If the bones are good we’ll redesign rather than rebuild, a refreshed look, better structure, faster loading and clearer calls to action, improving usability and your presence online without losing the Google rankings you’ve already earned.
What happens after launch?
Training so you can add photos, reviews and new projects yourself, 30 days of free support, and optional care plans covering hosting, daily backups, security checks and software updates, keeping the site secure, up to date and generating enquiries, with the studio in Redruth on the end of the phone.
While we’re at it.

Vehicle & Van Design
A website and a van that match, the two places your brand works hardest.
Built in Cornwall, for Cornwall.
“A massive shoutout to Martin for crafting our jaw-dropping new website. Utterly professional, absolutely top-notch from beginning to end!”
Shaun Mutton, Shaun’s Sheds
A trade website has three jobs: rank, load, and take enquiries. Everything else is decoration. Sanders Design is a small studio at Krowji in Redruth, and websites for trades and contractors are a core part of what we do, for one-van businesses and growing contractor teams alike, from Camborne to Bodmin and every patch between.
We know how trades work because we work alongside them every day. Your time is on the tools, your schedule is full, and the website has to earn its place. So the process is built to suit: a short discovery call to pin down your trade, your area and your deadline; a fixed written proposal within five working days, and that’s the price at the end; then design, build, revisions until it’s right, and one working relationship straight through with Martin and the team, the people doing the work. No juniors handed your project, no account-manager buffer.
Being Cornwall-based matters for the practical things too. We know which local printers and signmakers turn work around fastest, what coastal weather does to vehicle graphics and site boards, and how seasonal demand changes what your website needs to say in March versus November. Where physical production is involved, print, signage, vehicle livery, we coordinate with Cornwall suppliers we know by name, which compresses timelines and usually saves money against a national supplier.
Areas we cover: regular trades clients across Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, St Austell, Penzance, Camborne, Helston, Bodmin, Wadebridge, St Ives, Padstow and Perranporth, and UK-wide over Zoom when the fit is right.
Your website will reflect the quality of the workmanship, look professional on the phone where customers search, load fast and perform reliably, support your visibility on Google, and make contacting you simple, an essential tool for winning more of the jobs you want, whether you’re a sole trader or a growing contractor team. Talk to the studio: call 01872 222299, or book a design review, forty-five minutes, a written assessment, no obligation.
